Maybe we need to teach them a lesson this time and make them come crawling back begging in 2012, when Obama is up for re-election.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10857477383538283181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6968723288420536675.post-9597823988135059332010-10-27T00:37:34.571-04:002010-10-27T00:37:34.571-04:00While I think it's important to vote I don'...While I think it's important to vote I don't feel it's a duty, more like a right one we have to choice of using or not. I feel I must remind both Frank and Steve that a vote cast for any candidate is our way of giving our support that candidate based on what they've promised to do for us to make our lives better.... That being the case it's them that decide what to promise us. Delivering on those promises is whats expected from them.. I feel we've been sold a bill of goods for year after year now promise after promise and all have gone unfulfilled and and yet we continue to keep voting for the Democratic candidates year after year after they fill us full of the same ole promises each election cycle, that has lead to us being taken for granted and thus they Democrats knows they can promise us anything whatever it is we wanta hear that year and without any intention by them of fulfilling said promises and guess what we'll keep voting for them again year after year. This has been the situation for years now and it's time for it to STOP. We have become the abused wife who keeps believing he won't hit me again he promised well it's time we stand up for our selfs.....and if that means the Democrats losing the house this year then so be it...believe me nothing is going to be any different then it is now..I mean come on we haven't gotten shit done with them having control so them not having control should look about the same. I bet you once the midterms are done and they lose the house. If it turns out it's because we didn't show up to vote they'll stop taking us for granted. I also bet you the next time they promise us something to get our vote they'll known they better damn well deliver. This is a lesson for the Democrats that need to be taught. With that said I'd say don't vote just to be voting, just to help a Democratic keep his office/cushy Gov job. If theres a candidate that speaks to you then vote for them.sweetbrandigirl2004https://www.blogger.com/profile/02677775753686708537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6968723288420536675.post-38720276692869476662010-10-26T11:46:25.122-04:002010-10-26T11:46:25.122-04:00I agree with your points Steven. We cannot general...I agree with your points Steven. We cannot generalize that all democrats have turned away from us either, there are some (a few..)very supportive ones, and there are other candidates out there (independents..) who are sometimes more on our side than anyone else running. Simply because we can or cannot have a fully-full equality minded candidate should not dictate if we vote or not. Staying home and whining or trying to get revenge by doing so is ludicrous and should never be an option for our community. That wreaks of apathy and laziness.I to say...GET OUT AND VOTE Queer Roanoke!!Franknoreply@blogger.com
