The bass riffs alone in "Spirits in the Material World", from the 1981 album "Ghost in the Machine", made it an instant rock classic.The trio of Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland only lasted from 1977-83 before pursuing solo careers, but they definitely left their mark with a string of hits, including this one that peaked at #11 in the US Hot 100.
