The U.S. congress voted to pass a stand alone bill to repeal Don't Ask, Don't Tell by a vote of 250 - 175. Throughout the debate on Wednesday afternoon Republican after Republican stood up to repeat the same old lies about how openly serving gays and lesbians would harm military preparedness and unit cohesion.
Others whined about not having enough time to study the troop survey results that were released two weeks ago. Now it's up to the senate to get this through before the president signs it into law. Keep your fingers crossed that Senate majority Leader harry Reid doesn't fuck it up this time.
