New Wave Wednesday: "Kids in America", by Kim Wilde (music video)
Nearly thirty years before it was a cutsie jingle for the disgusting microwave snack, Totino's Pizza Rolls, UK singer Kim Wilde's song was a cutting edge New Wave hit. "Kids in America" was written by Wilde's brother, Ricky and father, Marty, who were both career musicians. Her own career also included the 1987 #1 hit remake of the Supremes classic, "You Keep Me Hangin' On". Personally, I like this one better.
