EVOLVE ALREADY!!: Poll Shows 53% of GOP Say Drop Gay Marriage as an Issue

It was bound to happen. A recent poll of influential political insiders, conducted by The National Journal, shows that Republicans are evolving on marriage equality faster than President Obama, with a majority now saying that, due to changing attitudes, their party should avoid the issue altogether. It really sucks to be Michele Bachmann right now.

What's more interesting, however, is that the same question posed to influential Democrats reveals that support for marriage equality stands at 84%. The party that has traditionally paid lip service to the LGBT community, while delivering very little in the way of progress, has left its leader in the dust. President Obama, are you listening?
