On her Tuesday night show, Rachel Maddow put Ex-Gay author Richard Cohen in her cross-hairs, holding him accountable for his discredited reparative therapy. The author of "Coming Out Straight" attempted to justify his claim that people can be successfully treated for "unwanted same-sex attraction".
Proponents of Uganda's gay genocide legislation have cited Cohen's book as their inspiration for the legislation. Cohen attempted to distance himself from them, but our girl Rachel would not let him off that easily, citing that Cohen has been kicked out of every psychiatric, psychological or counseling services accreditation organization he was ever a member of and that he has no legitimate credentials at all.
