This Queer Little Planet: "The Family" Condemns Uganda's "Kill the Gays Bill" (video)

Rachel Maddow continues to be the only major news reporter to cover the Uganda story. After weeks of exposing the link between the secretive Capital Hill group The Family, Maddow reports that the leader of the ultra conservative organization, Bob Hunter, has officially poked his head out of the C Street house long enough to condemn the "Kill the Gays" bill.

I am amazed at how devious and cowardly these ultra-conservative Washington types are. As long as they can stay under the radar, they sow the seeds of genocide in under-developed nations with impunity, their "Christian love" safely tucked out of sight. But as soon as they're exposed, they scurry away like cockroaches, disavowing the fruits of their own labor and condemning the very hatred they actively promote.
