Rumors Fly About Palin's Resignation

Ever since Alaska's First Baby-granny, Sarah Palin, announced her resignation on Friday the web has been abuzz with rumors about her reasons.

Huffington Post's Alaskan blogger Shannyn Moore wrote:

"For weeks the rumors of a criminal investigation against the governor have been brewing. They are rumors, but are swirling fresh again with Palin's resignation. I'm holding my breath for the other "Naughty Monkey" to drop. Another theory for the resignation is that the Palins would have to disclose the book deal as well as other financial details as governor.

Sources say, the third in line for the governorship, Corrections Commissioner, Joe Schmidt, has declined to become Lieutenant Governor. There is no official word of who will become take Sean Parnell's position as he ascends to the governorship.

Andrea Mitchell of MSNBC is now claiming Palin has told some close to her that she is through with politics."

Moore also warns of a looming "iceberg scandal" involving the construction of the Palins' Wasilla home.

Foxcharlotte.com reports an embezzlement investigation on the horizon:

"Reports have surfaced that Palin may have quit her job because she was trying to avert a major, yet-to-be-disclosed corruption scandal.

The crux of the rumor is that Alaska building company Spenard Building Supplies (SBS) was awarded a contract by Palin to build a hockey arena in Wasilla, Alaska, and in return, SBS helped construct the Palins' home."

Rumor has it that the Palins' home features the same windows as the hockey arena. Only in Alaska.
