Survivor Whiner, er... Winner Richard Hatch says Tax Evasion Trial Judge was Homophobic

Survivor's, Richard Hatch says the only reason he was jailed for not paying taxes on his $1 million reality show winnings is because he's gay.

Reality TV's official "Ugly Naked Guy" told The Today Show's Matt Lauer that the judge in the case had a homophobic agenda. "My personal opinion - he was trying to discriminate against me," Hatch said. "I don't think you or anyone else can deny that we, as homosexuals, face discrimination."

Hatch added, "I know without question that there are personal issues involved for the prosecutor. I don't know why. The prosecutorial misconduct has been egregious."

That's right, Richard. The U.S. government does have a long homophobic history and gays and lesbians do face discrimination on a daily basis. That's why LGBT-Americans feel so disenfranchised as law-abiding, tax-paying citizens. We work hard, contribute to the community, treat others with respect and demand the full and equal status from our government.

Because we pay our taxes, we deserve equal treatment under the law, regardless of the petty personal agendas of those who don't like us. Even though LGBT couples still can't legally file jointly, we pay our taxes anyway.

It's so unfair.

By the way, Richard, Tax Day is April 15th next year. You might want to write it down.
