This could only happen in Hollywood.As if this woman hasn't been through enough this year, Hollywood legend Zsa Zsa Gabor's ninth husband wants her to have a baby via artificial insemination and a surrogate. KTLA reports:
67-year-old Prince Frederic von Anhalt visited a fertility clinic in Beverly Hills on Wednesday and said in a phone interview with KTLA, that "we wanted to do this 25 years ago when we first got married."For those of you who are too young to know, more than 70 years before the Kardashians, there were the Gabor sisters, Zsa Zsa, Eva (star of "Green Acres") and Magda. The girls' mother marketed them in ways that would put Kris Jenner to shame.
Anhalt plans to use his sperm and an egg donor and estimates that the entire process will cost about $100,000.
According to Anhalt, his 94-year-old wife has always dreamed of having a child with him -- preferably a boy -- to carry on the Gabor name, because "when she goes, the whole family will be gone."
"It would be great if she could stay alive for the next few years. She always wanted a little polo player... we both used to play polo."
Gabor's two sisters did not leave an heir and her only child -- 64-year-old Francesca Hilton, a product of Gabor's second marriage to hotel magnate Conrad Hilton -- does not use the Gabor name.
The Gabor sisters were over the top and bigger than life. They lived big, married big and always won big in every divorce. Zsa Zsa once said, "I'm a marvelous housekeeper. Every time I leave a man, I keep the house."
