The classic techno-pop tune "West End Girls" from the British duo Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe, better known as Pet Shop Boys, was actually released twice; first in 1984, when it found success in the club scenes of New York and L.A. and Belgium, then again in 1985 after the band changed management and record companies. The re-release under the EMI label went to #1 in the U.S. and the U.K. in 1986.
