The CarsThe Cars were the ost influential band of the New Wave/Punk era. Led by Ric Ocasek, the band topped the charts during the late 70's and early 80's with hit's like "Drive", "My Best Friend's Girl" and "You Might Think".This week's pick, "Just What I Needed" comes from 1978, via The Midnight Special, which was a TV show that came on every Friday night and featured live performances by the top rock bands of the time. We could use a show like that now.
