Happy 100th Birthday, Lucy!

Saturday marks the 100th birthday of comedy legend Lucille Ball. This groundbreaking show biz pioneer was not only the undisputed Queen of Comedy, but ran the highly successful TV production studio, Desilu, which produced such iconic programming as The Andy Griffith Show, "Gomer Pyle, USMC", "Make Room for Daddy" and a little space opera called "Star Trek".

Lucy wasn't exactly loved in the Hollywood business world. The late Tonight Show host, Johnny Carson referred to her as Lucille Testicle.

Even Lucy's sidekick Vivian Vance admitted that the star wasn't easy to get along with. She wrote in her biography that she decided, "If this show's a success then I'm going to learn to love that bitch."

Whatevah, girl! The work stands for itself.
